Natty Hatty, Inc. (“Natty Hatty,” “we,” “our”) provides the Natty Hatty Platform (“Platform”) to help Organizations manage programs, events, rosters, payments, documents, and communication.

Natty Hatty does not hire, employ, vet, or supervise any coaches, staff, administrators, volunteers, or participants associated with Organizations that use the Platform.

This Background Check Disclaimer applies to all users of the Platform, including:

• Organizations

• Coaches

• Staff & volunteers

• Parents & guardians

• Adult participants

• Minor participants (through guardians)

Natty Hatty maintains a zero-tolerance policy for activities that endanger minors, but Natty Hatty does not conduct background checks or certify safety of any individuals using the Platform.

1. Natty Hatty Does Not Conduct Background Checks

Natty Hatty does not perform background checks on:

• Coaches

• Staff or volunteers

• Organization personnel

• Team admins

• Instructors or trainers

• Drivers or chaperones

• Other parents or guardians

• Participants (adult or minor)

Natty Hatty does not use:

• Federal background checks

• State sex offender registry searches

• Criminal history screenings

• Identity verification services

• Third-party background check vendors

• Any government databases

Natty Hatty does not verify:

• Legal name

• Identity

• Criminal history

• Licensure

• SafeSport certification

• CPR/First Aid certificates

• Employment references

• Professional qualifications

2. Background Screening Responsibility Lies 100% With the Organization

Organizations are solely responsible for:

• Determining whether background checks are required

• Choosing a screening provider

• Completing all required screenings

• Verifying identity and qualifications

• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws

• Maintaining compliance with SafeSport, NCSI, or similar requirements

• Removing any individuals who fail screenings

• Reporting and handling safety incidents

Organizations must comply with all applicable child safety laws.

Natty Hatty does not:

• Facilitate background checks

• Mediate disputes

• Certify screening results

• Enforce screening standards

• Track which coaches are vetted

• Provide screening recommendations

3. Natty Hatty Does Not Verify the Accuracy of Organization-Provided Information

Natty Hatty does not:

• Verify Organization-provided staff lists

• Confirm that coaches/staff are actually vetted

• Validate staff credentials or certifications

• Monitor staff changes

• Review documentation or upload materials

• Ensure that personnel listed in the Platform match actual on-site staff

Organizations may list team staff, but Natty Hatty makes no representations regarding the accuracy or truthfulness of this information.

4. No Guarantee of Safety, Conduct, or Suitability

Natty Hatty does not guarantee:

• The safety of participants

• The suitability of coaches or staff

• The conduct, behavior, or professionalism of personnel

• Compliance with background screening requirements

• That any individual is free from a criminal or harmful history

Natty Hatty does not supervise, evaluate, or monitor coach behavior.

5. Parental/Guardian Responsibilities

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

• Assessing whether a program is safe

• Confirming whether an Organization conducts background checks

• Conducting their own due diligence

• Raising concerns directly with the Organization

• Monitoring their child’s participation

• Understanding the risks of youth sports programs

Natty Hatty does not intervene in safety-related matters between Organizations and families.

6. No Agency, Employment, or Relationship With Coaches or Staff

Coaches and staff affiliated with Organizations are not employees, agents, or representatives of Natty Hatty.

Natty Hatty:

• Does not train coaches

• Does not qualify staff

• Does not endorse any coach or provider

• Does not manage staff behavior or safety protocols

All staff oversight is handled by the Organization.

7. Organizations Must Communicate Their Screening Practices

Organizations agree to:

• Disclose whether they conduct background checks

• Accurately describe their safety practices

• Avoid misrepresentation

• Comply with child safety legislation

• Ensure that all staff meet required legal standards

Natty Hatty is not liable for false or misleading information provided by Organizations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Natty Hatty is not liable for harm caused by any coach, staff member, volunteer, parent, or participant

• Natty Hatty is not liable for negligent hiring, screening, or supervision by an Organization

• Natty Hatty is not responsible for incidents, misconduct, or injuries involving staff or volunteers

• Natty Hatty does not warrant that any individual listed in the Platform is screened, safe, qualified, or trustworthy

• Natty Hatty’s total liability is capped under the Platform Terms & Conditions.

9. Acknowledgment

By using the Natty Hatty Platform, users acknowledge:

• Natty Hatty does not conduct background checks

• Natty Hatty does not endorse or certify any staff listed by Organizations

• Organizations are fully responsible for staff screening

• Parents/guardians must evaluate program safety independently

• Natty Hatty assumes no liability for staff behavior or safety practices

• This acknowledgment is a condition of using the Platform
