Natty Hatty, Inc. (“Natty Hatty”) respects the intellectual property rights of creators, photographers, artists, organizations, and users. We expect all individuals and organizations using our platform to do the same.
This DMCA / Copyright Policy explains how Natty Hatty handles copyright complaints, takedown requests, counter-notices, repeat infringer actions, and platform-level protections under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) (17 U.S.C. §512).
This policy applies to all content uploaded or submitted to Natty Hatty, including:
Team logos
Event flyers
Athlete photos
Documents, PDFs, waivers
Videos
Rosters, schedules, or designs
Business Center content
Customer App content
Any user-generated or organization-generated material
1. Designated Copyright Agent (DMCA Agent)
Natty Hatty is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office as a Service Provider under 17 U.S.C. §512.
Pursuant to the DMCA, Natty Hatty designates the following agent to receive copyright complaints:

All DMCA notices must be submitted in writing to this address or email.
2. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe content on Natty Hatty infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA Takedown Notice.
A valid notice must include:
Your full name, address, phone number, and email address
Identification of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed
Identification of the infringing content (URL or in-app location)
A statement: “I have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
A statement: “The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.”
Your physical or electronic signature
Incomplete notices cannot be processed.
3. Natty Hatty’s Process After Receiving a Valid DMCA Notice
Upon receiving a valid notice, Natty Hatty will:
Review the complaint
Disable or remove the identified content
Notify the account holder who posted the material
Provide the posted content’s user an opportunity to send a counter-notice
Temporarily restrict repeat or severe violators
Natty Hatty acts promptly and in accordance with DMCA safe-harbor requirements.
4. Submitting a Counter-Notice (If Your Content Was Removed)
If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may file a DMCA Counter-Notice.
A valid counter-notice must include:
Your name, address, phone number, and email
Identification of the material removed and where it appeared
A statement under penalty of perjury: “I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.”
A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of your local U.S. Federal District Court
A statement that you will accept service of process from the original complainant

5. What Happens After a Counter-Notice
If Natty Hatty receives a valid counter-notice:
Natty Hatty forwards it to the original complainant
The complainant has 10 business days to notify Natty Hatty that they filed a court action
If no such notice is received:
→ The content may be restored
If they do file a lawsuit:
→ Natty Hatty must keep the content offline until the legal process resolves
Natty Hatty cannot evaluate the legal merits; only follow the statutory process.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
Natty Hatty maintains a strict repeat infringer policy.
A user or organization may be suspended or permanently terminated if they:
Repeatedly upload copyrighted content without rights
Ignore prior warnings
Show a pattern of misuse
Attempt to re-upload removed content
Violate copyright law intentionally
Natty Hatty may immediately terminate accounts in severe cases.
7. Misuse or Fraudulent Claims
Filing a fraudulent DMCA notice or counter-notice is illegal.
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), submitting false claims may result in:
Damages
Legal fees
Court penalties
Natty Hatty reserves the right to suspend accounts that abuse the DMCA process.
8. Non-DMCA Content Removals
Natty Hatty may remove or restrict content independent of DMCA procedures if it violates:
Terms of Service
Acceptable Use Policy
Safety or child protection guidelines
Payment policy rules
Anti-abuse rules
Harassment or hate speech policies
These removals occur under general platform policies.
9. DMCA Safe Harbor Statement
Natty Hatty operates under the DMCA Safe Harbor provisions (17 U.S.C. §512), meaning:
Natty Hatty does not proactively monitor user content
Natty Hatty is not liable for user-uploaded content
Natty Hatty acts promptly upon receiving proper notices
Natty Hatty maintains a registered Copyright Agent
Natty Hatty enforces a repeat infringer policy
These protections allow Natty Hatty to host user content responsibly and legally.
10. Recommendations for Organizations to Avoid Infringement
Organizations should:
Upload only content they own or have licensed
Avoid copying competitor materials
Ensure rights to athlete photos, team logos, or third-party media
Keep documentation for all licensed content
Use original designs for event flyers and marketing graphics
