Last Updated: November 15, 2025
Version: v1.0
Natty Hatty Signature (“Signature”) enables businesses to send, review, and sign documents electronically. To support legal enforceability for customers across jurisdictions, Natty Hatty implements standards that align with major electronic signature laws in the United States and internationally.
This statement describes the legal frameworks under which Natty Hatty Signature operates.
1. Compliance With U.S. Federal & State E-Signature Laws
1.1 ESIGN Act (Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 2000)
Natty Hatty Signature complies with the core requirements of the ESIGN Act, which grants legal effect to electronic signatures and records when:
A signer intends to sign
The signer consents to electronic processes
The record is retained in an accessible form
Electronic signatures and records are attributable to a person
Natty Hatty Signature supports these requirements through:
User authentication
IP/device tracking
Timestamped audit trails
Secure document storage
Consent mechanisms
Integrity protections and immutable logs
1.2 UETA (Uniform Electronic Transactions Act)
Natty Hatty Signature aligns with the UETA, adopted by 49 U.S. states, by ensuring that
Electronic records and signatures have the same legal weight as paper
Electronic signatures demonstrate attribution
Electronic contracts are valid and enforceable
Records are accurately captured and capable of retention
Natty Hatty’s audit trail, encrypted storage, and signer attribution features are designed to support enforceability under UETA.
2. International Compliance: eIDAS (European Union)
Although Natty Hatty customers primarily operate in the U.S., Signature includes technical and procedural standards aligned with the EU’s eIDAS Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 910/2014), ensuring global readiness.
Natty Hatty supports the requirements for Simple Electronic Signatures (SES) under eIDAS, including:
Signer identification
Integrity of the signed document
Secure workflow controls
Timestamping
Evidence logs
Natty Hatty Signature currently does not qualify as anAdvanced (AES) or Qualified (QES) signature provider, as these levels require regulated EU trust-service certification.
However, Natty Hatty SES is legally valid for many business, commercial, and internal documents under eIDAS where SES is permitted.
3. Document & Signer Identity Evidence
To support legal validity, Natty Hatty Signature automatically records:
Signer name and email
IP address
Device information
Geolocation (where permitted)
Date and timestamp
Access logs
Document history
Hash-based integrity verification
This information forms an audit trail that can be used as evidence in legal disputes.
