Natty Hatty — SMS & Email Consent Policy (Website)

This SMS & Email Consent Policy explains how Natty Hatty, Inc. (“Natty Hatty,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses SMS text messages and email communications in connection with payments made through Natty Hatty–hosted public pages, including:
Program registration
Event/tryout checkout
Membership or booking payments
Signature + payment flows
Any transaction performed on a Natty Hatty website URL
By completing a transaction, submitting your contact information, or using Natty Hatty’s payment pages, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Purpose of SMS & Email Communications
Natty Hatty may send transactional SMS or email messages to users only when necessary to:
Confirm a payment
Send a payment receipt
Notify you about payment failures or retries
Confirm a signature or document submission
Deliver legally required notices related to signed waivers or agreements
Notify you of account verification codes (OTP)
Provide essential program- or booking-related updates from the Organization
Transactional messages do NOT require marketing opt-in under U.S. law.
Natty Hatty does not send promotional SMS messages without explicit, separate consent.
2. Transactional SMS (TCPA-Compliant)
By entering your mobile number on a Natty Hatty checkout or signature page, you consent to receiving one-time or recurring transactional SMS messages, including:
Payment confirmations
Payment failure notices
Signature verification messages
Multi-factor authentication codes
Program-critical updates from the Organization
These messages are non-marketing and allowed as part of processing your transaction.
Your Consent
“By providing your mobile number, you consent to receiving transactional SMS messages related to payments, signatures, verification, and program updates. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of transactional SMS, except where required for fraud prevention or identity verification.”
3. Transactional Email (CAN-SPAM Compliant)
Natty Hatty sends email for purposes including:
Receipts and payment confirmations
Signature document copies
Program or registration details
Account verification
Legally required notices
Refund notices (if issued by the Organization)
Dispute-related communication
Transactional emails do not require marketing consent under CAN-SPAM.
You may not opt out of emails that are legally required or necessary to complete your transaction.
4. Marketing SMS or Email Requires Separate Opt-In
Natty Hatty and Organizations using Natty Hatty cannot send marketing communications unless you provide separate, explicit consent.
This consent must be:
Clear
Distinct from transactional consent
Not pre-checked
Revocable at any time
Natty Hatty enforces strict separation between:
Transactional (allowed without marketing consent)
Promotional (requires explicit opt-in)
5. How to Opt Out
SMS Opt-Out
You may opt out at any time by replying:
STOP
Once you opt out, you will no longer receive non-essential or non-required SMS messages.
Some security-related SMS (fraud alerts, OTP, identity verification) may still be sent for your protection.
Email Opt-Out
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking Unsubscribe in the email footer.
Transactional or legally required emails cannot be unsubscribed.
6. How Organizations Use Your Contact Information
Organizations using Natty Hatty may send:
Program updates
Schedule changes
Event reminders
Payment plan notices
Cancellation announcements
These communications are treated as transactional, not promotional.
Organizations must follow:
TCPA
CAN-SPAM
CPRA (California)
COPPA (if minors involved)
Natty Hatty is not responsible for how Organizations manage promotional lists.
7. Data Sharing & Privacy
Your mobile number and email address are shared only with the Organization you are paying.
Natty Hatty never sells or shares your contact information with:
Advertisers
Data brokers
Third-party marketers

8. Consent for Minors
If a participant is a minor:
The parent or guardian provides the contact information
Consent is treated as given by the parent or guardian
Organizations may use SMS/email to communicate essential program updates
Natty Hatty does not knowingly collect mobile numbers directly from minors.
9. Security
Natty Hatty protects contact information using:
TLS 1.2+ encryption
AES-256 encryption
Secure storage practices
Strict access controls
Twilio/SendGrid secure delivery infrastructure
10. Policy Updates
Natty Hatty may update this Policy periodically.
The “Effective Date” above will reflect changes.
